As the Director of Delivery Operations for the Engineering Delivery Group, you will be a key leader in driving technology transformation within a highly collaborative and inclusive team. You willbe responsible forstandardizing delivery processes across multipledelivery platforms,leveragingagile methodologies and modern delivery tools to ensure efficiency, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Your role will focus on setting and tracking performance metrics to measuredeliverysuccess, quality, and team productivity. You will manage diverse talent, including in-house technical teams, leading contract workers, and partnering with top-tier software development companies to deliver innovative solutions supportingAbbViesR&D and the discovery of life-changing therapeutics.

By fostering a culture of open communication and accountability, you will create and implement a unified vision for technology delivery at AbbVie, ensuring best practices in project management, resource allocation, and agile execution. Your leadership will empower teams to deliver complex technology solutions that advance AbbVie's mission of improving patient outcomes worldwide.

This leader will provide vision and direction forsoftwaredelivery function that provides technology primarily used to discover and develop new therapeutics (AbbVies R&D division). This function provides the main application development capability and managed application support for these technologies. This function also manages development methodologies used for application development and management.

• Process Management:Provides usage optimization and process framework leadership for the methodologies used in application creation and development including UI frameworks, cloud technology usage, and software development methodologies such as Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD.

• Resource Management: Responsible fordeterminingdeliveryresourcemanagement strategy and organizational structure.

• Bachelors Degree and 10 years experience OR Masters Degree and 9years experience OR PhD and 5 years experience

• Effectively connects employee and BTS functional goals to business and/or overallAbbViegoals.
  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  Proven ability to drive outstanding employee performance and engagement through developing, coaching, motivating,energizingand inspiring team members.

• Experience managing teams of at least 10 people with a resource mix of managers, employees, matrixed teams, virtual teams,contractorsand managed service providers.

• Ability to communicate problems in terms that are understandable to BTS Leadership and end users at all levels.

• Subject matter expert in technology and/or business domain.

• Experience managing a budget of at least $10 million.

• Experience in technology operation, strategy, planning and implementation and/or relevant business domain preferred.
