Job Description
The Senior Business Analyst, Business Planning & Transformation supports the development, management, and alignment of strategic supply chain plans within AbbVies Supply Chain Strategic Management Office (SMO). Reporting to the Business Planning & Transformation Associate Director, this role collaborates with colleagues across the SMO and key supply chain stakeholders, contributing to strategic planning and annual budgeting activities and helping ensure supply chain strategies and capability initiatives are closely aligned with AbbVies broader business objectives. The Senior Business Analyst helps foster a culture of performance and cross-functional connectivity, providing research, analysis, and coordination that enables effective strategic planning and supports the achievement of business priorities and strategic impact. Responsibilities: - Support the Business Planning & Transformation Associate Director in the development, management, and ongoing alignment of strategic supply chain plans and capability roadmaps, ensuring connection to organizational goals and priorities.
- Conduct targeted research and quantitative/qualitative analyses to inform strategic planning, annual budgeting, and transformation initiatives, providing actionable insights for leadership decision-making.
- Coordinate the collection and synthesis of business requirements and stakeholder inputs across supply chain, supporting the development of strategic plans and identification of initiatives that drive meaningful change.
- Prepare high-quality presentations, reports, and executive deliverables summarizing findings, status, or recommendations, tailored for senior review and stakeholder engagement.
- Own and manage project deliverables or sub-workstreams as assigned.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and technical teams to validate assumptions, gather key data, and facilitate alignment across supply chain initiatives.
- Track, monitor, and report progress against strategic plans, capability roadmaps and strategic initiatives, identifying risks, gaps, and action items, and assisting in communication and follow-ups to support strategic alignment.
- Assist in the annual budgeting process by collecting inputs, performing analyses, and preparing supporting documentation aligned to strategic goals.
- Help foster a culture of performance, collaboration, and excellence by proactively communicating across internal networks and supporting knowledge-sharing and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree required, in preferred fields in Supply Chain, Business Management, or other applicable degrees.
- At least 5 years of experience in Operations, Supply Chain, Transformation, or Business Analytics.
- Pharmaceutical or life sciences industry experience is a plus, but not essential.
- Advanced research, data analysis, and problem-solving abilities; comfortable with ambiguity and capable of synthesizing complex information and generating actionable insights.
- High degree of initiative, with strong attention to detail and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated experience leading, supporting or contributing to cross-functional teams and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; comfortable engaging across a matrixed organization.
- Basic knowledge of project management practices, portfolio review, finance, and budgeting.
